The Airplane Flying Handbook


For years, The Airplane Flying Handbook has been used by ground school and flight instructors to help student pilots learning to fly airplanes.

According to its preface, The Airplane Flying Handbook is developed to assist student pilots learning to fly. It is also beneficial to pilots who wish to improve their flying proficiency and aeronautical knowledge, pilots preparing for additional certificates, and flight instructors. It introduces the future pilot to the realm of flight and provides information and guidance in the performance of procedures and maneuvers required for pilot certification.  It is developed by the FAA’s Flight Standards Service, Airman Testing Standards Branch.
